Our goal is to better understand opioid abuse disorders that result in addiction and/or respiratory depression at the cellular and molecular level. We seek to identify novel therapeutic strategies to overcome the opioid epidemic. Our strategy is to use novel cell culture system which exhibit intrinsic cell signaling activity (See left)
